St John Bosco FF & YM Program will present a sexual abuse prevention program, the Teaching Safety program, to our students at our Regularly Scheduled class, Sunday, February 12, 11:30-12:30. The creators of the Protecting God’s Children™ program developed the Teaching Safety program. This program is provided to us by the Archdiocese of Seattle and is a part of our ongoing effort to help create and maintain a safe environment for children and to protect all children from sexual abuse.
The lesson will be offered to all students at St John Bosco. As a parent, you have the right to choose whether your student participates. To help you understand what your children will be offered please view the documents included in the document tab below. You can also visit the links provided below. They provide an overview of what the Teaching Safety Empowering God’s Children Program by Virtus. They also include information about the lessons used, the structure of the program, and purpose of the Introductory Videos. If you determine that you DO NOT want your child to participate, please complete the “opt-out” avaible under the document tab and return it to Cassie Denning or the Parish office.
