Mass Volunteers

- Liturgy & Sacraments

We are continuing to ask for volunteers for - Eucharist Ministers, Lectors, Usher Teams and Welcome/Hospitality. All volunteers must be trained in advance. Volunteers will be scheduled to cover 1-2 Sunday’s a month for the foreseeable future.

We are also reopening our Altar Server Ministry. If you or our Child would like to volunteer for this please email Cassie Denning at cassiedenning@stjbosco.org or fill out this registration form.

Lector
Reponsible for:
- Reading at Mass
  - First Reading
  - Psalm
  - Second Reading
- Reading the Prayers of the Faithful
- Reading Announcements
Required Training:
- Safe environment with back ground check
- Lector experience/training
Eucharist Minister
Responsible for:
- Distibruitng Communion
Required Training:
- Safe environment with back ground check
- Eucharist Minister Training
Usher Team
Resposible for:
- Directing parishioners within the church
  - Seating
  - Communion
- Providing assistance for disabled parishoners
- Collection Baskets and Handling Money
- Emergency Procedures
- Working with Welcome and Hospitality Team
Required Training:
- Safe environment with back ground check
- emergency spills/safety procedures
We will contact you about training opportunties and any additional infomation after you have signed up.
Welcome and Hospitality Team
Responsible for:
- Providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Directing parishoners
- Providing assistance for disabled parishoners
- Working together with the Usher Team
Required Training:
- Safe Environment with background chec
- emergency spills/safety procedures
We will contact you about training opportunties and any additional infomation after you have signed up.
Sacristan:
Responsible for:
- Setting up Altar for Mass.
- Cleaning up Altar and Sacristy after Mass.
Required Training:
- Safe environment with back ground check
- Sacristan Training
Altar Server:
Responsible for:
- Leading the Procession with the Cross or Candles
- Assisting Father during Mass
Required Training:
- Altar Server Trainig
- For Adults: Safe environment with back ground check
