The Funeral Ministry is a wonderful way to do something very practical that helps our parishoners and their families during a time of loss. St. John Bosco Parish usually has three working funeral reception teams, plus a group of food donors for each team. Food Donors are generally called upon to donate food for every third reception. We average about 15-20 receptions annually since the start-up of the Funeral Ministry in 1997 - the burden is not great. We ask for a hot dish, salad, or dessert that will serve 10-12 people. 

      If you would like to become a member of one of our three Working Teams, you will join other parishoners who bring food, clear tables and wash dishes. We try to have enough members on each team so that when some are absent, we still have enough to serve. We request, however, that all volunteers strive to make this funeral ministry a priority. Food donors and Team Workers are always needed.
