Jesus said, "Whatever you do for the least of mine, you do for me."
Matthew 25:40
If you have a couple of hours on Thursdays, you are invited to join a wonderful group of parishioners to weed, seed, and harvest - all with the benefits of exercise, camaraderie and service!
Our Food Bank Garden was started in 1994 by Master Gardner Rita Kuklish and nine very willing parishioners. Through loving hard work, the garden has continued to "grow" over the years. The purpose of the garden is to provide fresh produce for the homeless and families who are without work. Our garden is the primary source of fresh vegetables for the Lakewood Area Food Bank. The 2024 food bank garden harvest was 1700 lbs pounds of nutritious produce coming from only 10 of our garden beds opened.
